Arisa Batista Cunningham Elected to Empatha Board of Directors

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., November 18, 2005.

Empatha, Inc., today announced the election of Arisa Batista Cunningham of Johnson & Johnson, to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.

Ms. Cunningham is Vice President, Diversity, Medical Devices & Diagnostics Group Worldwide, Johnson & Johnson Corporate Staff. In this role, Ms. Cunningham is responsible for initiating and coordinating activity within the Medical Devices & Diagnostics Group to achieve the diversity vision throughout the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies.

Ms. Cunningham has extensive experience in domestic and international marketing, strategic planning and patient advocacy with major consumer and pharmaceutical companies, including Procter & Gamble, American Can Company, Revlon, and American Home Products. She joined Johnson & Johnson in 1994 as the Director of Marketing, Direct Access Diagnostics, where she established the marketing, sales, and public relations strategies for the world's first home HIV Testing and Counseling Service.

More recently, Ms. Cunningham was Director, Patient Advocacy, in the Strategic Consumer Group, supporting Ortho Biotech Products and Tibotec Therapeutics, Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies. Many different awards, including J&J Achievement, J&J Team Excellence, J&J Standards of Leadership, several OBI President's Cup Awards, and the OBI Teal Diamond Awards, have acknowledged her work in this capacity.
