Empatha's Deborah King Named Among
100 Most Inspiring People for 2006
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., August 16, 2006.
Empatha, Inc., today announced that Deborah Jones King has been named as one of the Nation's 100 most inspiring people by PharmaVOICE, the forum for the industry executive. The publication profiled men and women in the life-sciences industry who are truly making a difference.
Ms. King is an experienced sales and marketing executive with over 22 years in the pharmaceutical industry, is Vice President for Sales and Marketing at Empatha. In her nomination in the “Mentor” category, PharmaVOICE rempahized her recognition by managers, peers, and the community at large for her dedication to healthcare and to helping others. Ms. King has received numerous awards, including various sales achievement awards and DuPont Pharmaceutical's highest honor, the Summit Award on two occasions. Additionally, the International Women's Forum selected Ms. King as a Leadership Foundation Fellow. Through this experience, Ms. King received specialized training and mentoring at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Ms. King spent 10 months on executive loan to the National AIDS Fund in Washington, D.C. In that special assignment, Ms. King focused on AIDS and its impact on African American women.
